30 Days by Marc Reklau

Book Summary

In his incredibly practical book "30 Days - Change your habits", change your life Mark Reklau talks about tips and exercises that can continuously bring about extraordinary changes in the lives of focused individuals. He discusses the independence of humans and emphasizes that our happiness solely depends on ourselves, and by creating new habits, we can reach our desired destination.

Reklau considers the simplest social interactions, emotional and physical conditions, occupational status, and personal life situations relevant to people's well-being and thoughts. He strongly advises his readers to distance themselves from considering luck and miracles in various events. He also sees each inhabitant of the Earth as a miracle in themselves, with hidden abilities that, after establishing daily habits and advancing them, can easily flourish.

Revealing the power of the mind's wonder is another piece of advice that the author refers to, providing practical exercises for readers to achieve peace, success, and happiness. Performing not-so-great but consistent tasks over a period of time will have incredible effects on people's lives, all of which are interpretable from the heart of the book.

Book Quotes

This is one of the greatest and probably the best time management tricks I have ever learned. This practice has dramatically changed my personal and professional life and reduced work stress to almost zero! Most of my work stress stemmed from rush jobs.
I, or I should say we as a company, were always in turmoil. This situation turned days when we were supposed to deliver products to our customers into extremely stressful and terrifying days. We would always deliver our work on time or maybe a few hours late, and I had to calm down angry and sometimes hysterical customers.
That's when my promises started. I found out that more than 90% of product delivery delays were just a matter of a few hours, so I got permission from my boss to design the product delivery schedule myself and no one else could access it.
If based on production, the product delivery date was April 5th, I would promise the customer April 10th. So if we delivered the product on April 7th, instead of customers threatening us with fines and lawsuits, I would face customers who thanked us wholeheartedly for delivering three days early. It didn't take long for the product delivery delay to decrease from 50% to nearly 0% in three years. Since I received very good results from implementing this method, I extended it to my entire life.
