This influential figure, whose popularity continues to rise even after his death on January 19, 1990, left behind works such as "Tarot Zen," "The Book of Secrets," "From Sex to Super consciousness," "Sex Money and Power," and "Being in Love."

Book Quotes

"Please do not link me to the past; the past is not even worth remembering. What a great blessing it would be for humanity if we set aside the entirety of past history, entrusting all of it to the treasure of the millennia and granting humanity a new beginning."
"Transform small and trivial things into celebrations. For example, in Japan, there are tea ceremonies; in every Zen monastery or in the home of anyone who can afford it, there is a small temple for drinking tea. In this case, tea is no longer an ordinary thing; they have turned drinking tea into a celebration. The special tea temple is designed in a particular way."
"Whenever you feel unwell, seek a doctor; but more importantly, invite all those you love. There is no medicine more effective than love. Embrace them as they create beauty, music, and poetry around you, for nothing compares to the healing atmosphere of a celebration. Medicine is the lowest form of treatment, yet it seems we have forgotten everything."
"Death should not be unpleasant or repulsive; it should signify that life has been completely meaningful and worthwhile. Death must be a carefree response, a loving entry into the unknown, and an invigorating farewell to old friends and to the world. Death is not a tragic and sorrowful display."
"The deeper one goes within, the more mature one becomes. When one reaches the core of their being, their maturity is complete. However, at the moment when the individual disappears, only presence remains; the self dissolves, and only silence remains. Knowledge departs, and innocence remains. In my view, maturity is another name for recognition and realism; you have come to understand and realize your potential capabilities, which have come into action, and the seed of your existence has returned from a long journey and has blossomed."
"In the first seven years, a child is self-centered as if they are the center of the entire universe, and all family members revolve around them. Whatever their needs may be must be immediately fulfilled; otherwise, their noble presence becomes bitter, and their anger and rage boil over. They live like a true emperor; parents are their servants, and all family members live solely for their blessed existence."
"If everything goes well—which it never does—I'm speaking about a completely natural phenomenon; by the age of twenty-eight, an individual no longer attempts to embark on an adventurous life. From twenty-one to twenty-eight, they view matters with a more realistic perspective and understand that many desires and wishes cannot be fulfilled."
"If it were up to me, I would divide universities into two sections: one for young people and one for older individuals. Young people would learn the art of living, sexual matters, ambition, struggle, etc. After they grow older and reach the age of forty-two, they should return to university to learn about death, the one God, and meditation because now the old university will no longer serve them."
"As soon as you get an opportunity to touch a woman's body, you don't hesitate. Really, what shame is there in touching another person's body? This indicates that something within you remains unfulfilled. When an old man looks with lustful and greedy eyes, nothing compares to that."
"Love born out of need or love of scarcity depends on the other person. This is immature love; in fact, it is not love at all but need. You are using the other person; you are exploiting them as a means to an end. You are taking advantage of them, making them a tool, dominating them, and exactly the same things are being done to you by the other person."
